Long Beach, CA – A 28-year-old civilian typist has been arrested for filming male employees using the restroom in the Long Beach Police Department’s headquarters.
Sergio Nieto is accused of photographing and videotaping individuals using the bathroom at the department’s downtown location.
According to the Los Angeles Times, an investigation was launched after someone reported “suspicious activity” in a second-floor restroom on June 29th and Nieto was arrested hours later.
Detectives are trying to determine how long Nieto has been at it and are asking employees who believe they might be victims to contact Detective Rodney Brown in the Sex Crimes Detail.
Nieto is scheduled to appear in court on July 25th.
