A 21-year-old man was fatally shot Friday as he was buying water in a Bronx deli, police sources said.

Police were called around 4:10 p.m. to B.H. Gourmet Deli on Bainbridge Ave. near Cole Lane in Fordham Manor, where they found the victim, Jayquan Lewis, shot multiple times.

As Lewis was standing at the counter to make his purchase, the shooter came from the back of the store, pulled a gun out of a shoulder satchel, and fired off at least five rounds, police sources said.

Other customers scattered as the gunman continued to fire off shots before fleeing through the front door of the bodega, sources said.

Medics took Lewis to an area hospital, but he couldn’t be saved.

The gunman was described as a Black man sporting dreadlocks, a white tank top and blue shorts, sources said.

Police did not make any immediate arrests.
