A Florida officer was put in the hospital after being bitten by a suspect in a Miami-Dade courthouse.
The suspect was attending a hearing when the judge ordered him detained, prompting the man to become upset and bite the detaining officer.
“There was a man who bit an officer and he took out a chunk of meat from his right, or left hand, and he was bleeding,” witness Jonathan Berdomo said. “They called in, they grabbed the dude and they tied him down and they put a bag over his face and they escorted him out of the courtroom.”
According to NBC Miami, the unidentified suspect was shouting profanities as he was escorted out of court by the assailed officer’s comrades.
The extent of the officer’s injuries is unknown.
