Calls have been made for the New Orleans Police Department to issue a warrant for the referees who “stole” the Saints vs Rams game on Sunday.
Following a 26-23 overtime loss to the LA Rams, several fans -including the Slidell Police Department- have called for the New Orleans Police to bring the “thieving” refs to justice.
“We think our friends at the New Orleans Police Department should issue a theft warrant for the NFL officials who stole the win from the New Orleans Saints!” the Slidell Police Department shared on Facebook Sunday.
In Los Angeles, the LAPD shot back on Twitter, claiming that the game looked fair enough.
“Sounds like our friends at @NOPDNews might be dealing with some robbery complaints after the #LARams defeated the @Saints,” the agency wrote. “We would help investigate but A) it’s outside our jurisdiction, and B) we just don’t see enough evidence of a crime.”
The Rams will face off against the New England Patriots on Feburary 3 in Atlanta.
