A McDonald’s employee in Kansas who put mustard in a Topeka Police officer’s Dr.Pepper has been fired and is facing criminal charges.

On the 25th of November, a TPD officer reports he went through the fast food chain’s drive-thru and found his drink had mustard squirted inside.

North Topeka McDonald’s franchise owner Tom Dobski reported that he is “shocked by the isolated actions of a single employee.”

“All customers, including local law enforcement officers who protect and serve our communities, are always welcome at our restaurants,” Dobski said in a statement Monday. “We proudly support police officers and all divisions of first responders at our restaurants across northeast Kansas.”

After an investigation resulted in the firing of the employee, TPD decided open a criminal investigation of their own, citing Dobski’s cooperation with all inquiries.

Fox News reports the incident went down only two weeks after a Kansas Highway Patrolman found mustard in his soda.
