The small Iowa town of Madrid is considering sacking local Police Chief Rick Tasler in tonight’s town meeting, following several questionable actions that include misconduct accusations and pointing a handgun at his partner’s head.

The 5:30 PM meeting places discussing Tasler’s dismissal at the top of the list, followed by discussing a replacement.

According to KCCI, Tasler was suspended for five days in 2010 for a video that showed him pointing his sidearm at his sparring partner. Since then, the city has been named in several officer misconduct lawsuits, with Tasler at the head.

The meeting comes mere months after Mayor Dirk Ringgenberg resigned over federal lawsuits potentially relating to police brutality accusations.
