The New Jersey Prosecutor’s Office has just released wild body cam video of a January police chase that ended in a fatal officer-involved shooting.
The video comes as a grand jury decided to indict the officer on multiple charges including manslaughter and aggravated assault.
According to NBC News, Officer Jovanny Crespo shot both of the suspects after they sped off during a traffic stop.
One of the suspects was hit in the head and died at the scene, the other remains in poor condition.
In the video, Crespo gets out of his car on three different occasions to fire at the car.
He tells his fellow officer that one of the suspects pointed a gun at him, though they never fired.
Crespo has been with the department for roughly two years and is being held in a correctional facility.
If convicted he could face life in prison.
