A man accused of theft had to be tased after he refused to comply with two South Euclid police officers’ commands during a traffic stop in newly released body cam video from the police department.
According to Fox 8 Cleveland, the suspect had just shoplifted from a local Walmart when they pulled the vehicle he was in.
In the video, the officers explain to the suspect that he is being detained, as that’s happening you can hear the suspect’s sister and mother, who were both in the vehicle, tell him to follow the officers’ orders.
The suspect refuses to listen to both his family members and the officers. He at one point tells the officers that they are there to kill him, and at another time asks if the officers want to “suck my d**k.”
After refusing to comply, one of the officers deploys a taser to get him out of the vehicle. The male suspect is then arrested without any further incident.
He was taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation.
