A Texan opened fire on two robbers Tuesday night, after they held his wife at gunpoint and invaded his home.
Authorities in Houston say the incident reportedly took place around 10:30 PM, when the man’s wife pulled into the driveway, only to be ambushed by two armed robbers.
Demanding her purse, the bandits became brazen and demanded she open the door of the house.
Hearing the commotion, the homeowner armed himself and rushed to his wife’s aid, exchanging fire with the robbers and shooting one of them in the head.
According to KHOU, the second suspect fled, while the wounded robber was taken into surgery.
Police report that neither the husband nor his wife were injured in the firefight.
