A handcuffed man, believed to be homeless, told officers to break his neck as he wildly swung his legs and kicked an NYPD officer onto subway tracks in a viral video.
According to the NY Post, the man had jumped a turnstile and refused to listen to the officers’ orders.
He then began to wrestle with the officers, screamed he had the coronavirus, and even spat on one of them.
Eventually, the officers were able to wrestle him down and handcuffed him, but not before he was able to land a couple of kicks.
The man, identified as Anquando Johnson, can be heard telling the officers to put more pressure on his legs and neck. At one point he told them, “Break it!” and to, “put your weight on it.”
The officer who fell onto the tracks broke her wrist due to the impact of the fall. There were no subway cars coming and she did not get close to the electrified third rail.
The incident actually took place on Thursday evening.
Johnson is now facing multiple charges, including assaulting an officer.
