The Denver Post reports that just before noon yesterday Daniel Ruiz, 33, walked inside Denver’s district 4 police station armed with an AR-15 assault-style rifle and a loaded handgun. He was wearing a bullet-proof vest, and also had a knife on his person along with additional magazines for the rifle and another for the semi-automatic handgun. He went up to the clerk in the lobby and demanded to be let inside but was refused.
Police said Ruiz walked into the station and allegedly began screaming at officers according to Denver CBS4. Police spokeswoman Raquel Lopez reported that Ruiz was arrested without incident and his weapon was recovered.
He is being held on charges of felony menacing and reckless endangerment.
