A Brooklyn man who offered to give a few dollars to two cash-strapped men at a fried chicken restaurant was savagely beaten and robbed for his generosity.
The 37-year-old victim had offered to help pay for the duo’s meal on March 1, inadvertently sparking an argument. When the two men became angry at the Good Samaritan, the pair began beating him as two others came to back them up.
The man attempted to defend himself, but was soon forced to the floor and beaten with his own cane, sustaining several blows to the body and head.
After being beaten by the four men (who fled the scene), he was robbed by a fifth man.
According to the New York Post, bystanders watched as the man was beaten, with the incident captured on security cameras.
The victim was later treated at a hospital for multiple broken bones, contusions and lacerations.
