When police in Manheim Township, PA raided the home of a local rapper, they found a lot more than they bargained for. Officers seized drugs, guns and cash from the home of Angel Luis Pereira aka “Giggles” and “GI, the General.” His girlfriend, 31-year-old April Medina, and a child were also living at the home. In either 2006 or 2007, Pereira moved from Lancaster City to his Manheim home.
According to Fox, Pereira, 36, was suspected to be an upper level cocaine dealer since 2004. Under the moniker “GI, the General,” Pereira made many music videos glorifying drug dealing and gun violence. Members of the Lancaster County Drug Task Force seized 350 grams of crack cocaine, which was already cooked and was laid out to dry. Other paraphernalia such as pots, utensils and ingredients were also out in plain sight.
Officers also seized two semi-automatic handguns and a bullet proof vest. Pereira is forbidden to possess firearms due to a 2006 drug felony conviction. Three vehicles valued at around $100,000 and $2,000 in cash were also seized.
Pereira and Medina have been charged with Intent to Deliver-Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Pereira will also be charged with Persons not to Possess a Firearm. According to Daily Mail, Pereira was committed to Lancaster County Prison on $40,000 bail and Media was released after her $50,000 bond was posted.
