On Friday, a police officer in Georgia was surprised when he received a thank you note from a young woman he pulled over for speeding.
ABC News reports that a member of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety stopped a young lady for a traffic violation in the Atlanta suburb. After the officer had issued her a citation, she signed it and thanked the officer.
As the police officer started to walk back towards his car, she stopped him, handed him a note and drove off.
The note the woman handed the police officer said,
“Mr. Officer,
Shame on me for speeding. There is a lot of publicity (negative) about police officers and your job is very dangerous. I want you to know that my family and I feel very blessed to be protected by wonderful people like you. So Thank You!
Caring Alpharetta resident!”
The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety posted the woman’s note on its Facebook page.
