The Snellville Police Department is facing pressure to address and possibly fire an officer after he posted a TikTok video where he jokes about a woman in custody having to give birth in the back of his patrol car.
According to Fox 5, Officer Nick Moore is in his uniform and sitting in a patrol car in the video.
The captions on the video read “Prisoner: My Water Broke. Prisoner: You’re Going To Have To Deliver The Baby.” Moore can then be seen lip-syncing to the music saying, “Nope.”
The video has since been deleted from the original account, but was saved by others and has spread across social media.
The Department has defended Moore by issuing a statement that read in part, “The officer made the video while he was off-duty and on his personal social media account. There is no requirement for the officer to seek supervisor approval prior to making a personal social media post.”
Local activists have now been pressuring the Department to fire Moore for the video.
