A Gender Studies Ph.D. student was arrested for stalking and murdering her ex-boyfriend in Washington DC, according to police reports.

Nijinsky Latassia Dix, who was an employee of the University of Notre Dame, was charged with second-degree murder on Saturday in the death of Terry Hickman.

Dix was attending the University of Illinois Chicago at the time of the killings, and was pursuing a Ph.D. in the theoretical field of Gender Studies.

Initially, Dix told police that her ex-boyfriend had pushed her, prompting her to shoot him.

However, court filings reveal that a relative later told officials that Dix “was stalking [Hickman] and that she was from out of state but somehow found out where he resided.”

According to the New York Post, Dix “blacked out” and lost memory of the incident initially after it had taken place.

When police showed her a photograph of Hickman, Dix reportedly began crying and repeating “get it away from me,” insinuating that he raped her.

“You don’t do people you love like that, that’s not love,” filings reported her saying.

Notre Dame is “is aware of her arrest and will cooperate with law enforcement as appropriate.”

  1. Oh the drama – get it away from me, indicating he raped her. But she stalked him and killed him. Beyond horrific. She is a disgusting human.
