Fugitive fleeing deputies in high-speed chase loses tongue

A deputies’ dash cam video captures the dramatic moments as two suspects lead police on a dangerous chase through Baldwin County, Alabama.

Two South Carolina fugitives in a stolen Cadillac Escalade tried to run from police on Friday, after officers attempted  to stop the pair along I-65 for a traffic violation.

As the driver reaches speeds of over 100 mph, she pulls in front of another car and tries to exit the interstate, by tearing through a grassy median. That plan didn’t work.

The Cadillac rolls over, ejecting the passenger and pinning the driver upside down in the wreckage.  She lost her tongue in the crash, according to News 5.

Nearby residents didn’t know what was happening as traffic backed up for miles.

The suspects, Kelly Cameron and Michael Strickland, are both in the hospital with serious injuries.  Police found drugs inside the stolen vehicle. Both Cameron and Strickland have outstanding warrants from South Carolina, WKRG reported.
