The Fort Worth police chief is telling all of his officers to attend any religious ceremony they attend in full uniform.

According to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth, Chief Kraus says he hopes that anyone attending the service will feel reassured of their safety by seeing the uniformed officer present, and act as a deterrent against anyone who wants to cause harm.

This comes on the heels of recent attacks on the deadly church shooting in White Settlement, Texas and in Jewish communities across the country.
