The former drummer of rock group Five Finger Death Punch will soon be hitting a different beat after being sworn in as a reserve police officer in Indiana.
Following his musical retirement last December, Jeremy Spencer was sworn in by the Rockford Police Department in Indiana, which is thousands of miles away from his current residence in Las Vegas.
“I was recently sworn in as a reserve police officer of the Rockport, Indiana Police Department by city Mayor Gay Ann Harney,” he wrote on an Instagram post. “I’m still a resident of Las Vegas, but it’s an honor to be able to come back to this area when I can and serve the community as a reserve police officer and help out my brothers.”
Five Finger Death Punch is known for their pro-law enforcement stance, having donated $95,000 to C.O.P.S – Concerns Of Police Survivors, and creating the song “When The Seasons Change,” which is dedicated to first responders.
