A police agency in Illinois has released footage from a shooting that took place on May 28 outside a Rockford casino.

Multiple videos have been made viewable to the public in regards to Bradley Thompkins, a man who was shot by Rockford PD officers at the Hard Rock casino location.

Thompkins was engaging law enforcement during a tense standoff and was shot after firing a shot into the air and pointing his weapon at officers.

Three officers are reported to have opened fire.

According to MyStateLine.com, the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office also released footage of the incident, where officers pleaded for the man to drop his weapon.

“I don’t want to hurt you! Just please, put it away,” the officer said.

The Winnebago-Boone County Integrity Task Force is handling the investigation.

Thompkins, who survived the encounter, has a long criminal history in Winnebago County, including several aggravated DUI, disorderly conduct, and battery convictions.
