The threat of coronavirus infection was not enough to deter Florida law enforcement from carrying out an arrest warrant, according to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office.
The agency took to social media to brag about the arrest, which involved a criminal who thought himself rather savvy.
“Placing a fake ‘Covid-19’ sign on your door will not stop us from kicking it in when you have felony warrants for your arrest,” the agency wrote.
Needless to say, the suspect didn’t consider the fact that deputies have protective equipment on hand.
“Deputies and detectives used protective gear when arresting 28 year old Joshua Price on Will Tillis Road in Bardin this afternoon on felony flee and elude law enforcement and violation of probation warrants.”
Price later tested negative for coronavirus following his booking in the local jail.
