A Florida man is facing felony charges after he saw a Martin County Sheriff’s Office helicopter flying over his house and decided to test the new laser he installed on his AR-15.
According to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and Port St. Lucie Police, Norman Flaxman saw the helicopter flying overhead and told officers he wanted to see if his laser could hit the helicopter.
The helicopter was in the area assisting Port St. Lucie police for an unrelated burglary when the pilot was hit by the laser multiple times.
Video from the helicopter shows Flaxman flashing the laser and high-powered gun in his hands as officers began to surround his home.
In all, Flaxman flashed the laser two to three times at the helicopter.
He was arrested and now faces felony charges.
