A Florida man was killed during an attempted burglary in Lee County, according to local officials.
Jonathan Hernandez died after the window he attempted to enter closed over his neck, approximately five-and-a-half feet off the ground.
The incident, according to the News-Press, took place on Saturday. A photo provided shows Hernandez’ body hanging from the window.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has begun an investigation.
Hernandez, also known as Jonathan Hernandez-Zuluaga, has a lengthy rap sheet, including marijuana possession, grand theft and probation violations.
In addition to his less-than-violent crimes, Hernandez was also involved in a 2014 murder case, though the details have not been released.
