Pasco County 911 center receives calls all the time about thefts and drugs, but the one it received on Saturday night was a very unexpected mix of the two.
According to WFLA, the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office had to send a deputy for a welfare check after a man called the 911 center multiple times to report that his roommate stole $20 worth of weed from him.
The Sheriff’s Office decided to take advantage of the bizarre call and performed a tweet along.
Deputy Zalva was assigned the call and reported what was happening in a series of tweets.
Though Deputy Zalva never went to the house, he did call the panicked man and told him he shouldn’t report his stolen drugs. Deputy Zalva went on to say, “He started to freak out a little on the phone, and hung up on me shortly after.”
The Sheriff’s Office did not confirm if they went to arrest the man.
