Body camera footage has been released by the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office of Deputy Nick Carmack and his K-9 partner Shep successfully split up and detain two car theft suspects following a chase.

During the initial pursuit, the stolen Ford Expedition, crashed into an electric pole, where the driver and passenger attempted to flee.  Deputy Carmack quickly detained the passenger of the vehicle while K-9 Shep took off after the driver.

Deputy Carmack then had the passenger suspect jog with him in pursuit of Shep and the driver.

After a short while, they catch up to the driver, who is being held, painfully, by Shep.

Both suspects are then apprehended.  We like to imagine Shep got a steak dinner for brave actions.
