A married couple was found dead and with their throats slashed Sunday in Daytona Beach, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department.

Terry Aultman, 48, and Brenda Aultman, 55, — both of Daytona Beach — were found with multiple stab wounds on the 700 block of North Wild Olive Avenue, just west of State Road A1A, DBPD said in a press release.

At around 2 a.m. two witnesses found their bodies and called 911. The witnesses told detectives they found the man lying face-down on his chest and the woman lying face-up on her back in a grassy area next to the sidewalk at the southeast corner of Wild Olive and Riverview.

Two bikes were also discovered near the bodies, and it is believed the Aultman couple were trying to get home after participating in Bike Week festivities when the attack happened.

“We will spare no expense and leave no stone unturned in order to solve this case,” said DBPD Chief Jakari Young. “I assure you that our detectives are doing all they can to bring justice to the loved ones of these victims.”

Autopsies are underway to determine the exact cause of death and detectives are still trying to find a suspect whom was only identified as wearing light-colored pants and possibly carrying a backpack.
