Flight attendant takes down, zip ties man who tried to breach the cockpit

A Delta flight from Los Angeles to Nashville, Tennessee, made a surprise landing in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Friday afternoon after a passenger attempted to bust into the cockpit.

Delta Flight 386 landed at Albuquerque Sunport at 2:13 p.m. local time, according to flight tracking data. It is scheduled to take off again at 8:15 p.m. to complete the trip to Nashville.

The unidentified unruly passenger did not manage to breach the cockpit, local ABC affiliate KOAT reported. No one was injured.

The person was removed from the plane and arrested by airport police, according to KOAT. All other passengers will continue to Nashville.

The FBI is investigating the incident.

  1. The video of the shooting in Chicago demonstrates the danger our law enforcement officers face in the streets. These officers used common sense in dealing with this individual and it turned out the perp almost killed two officers. God keep all of our officers safe!
