The Los Angeles Police Department has released dashcam video of a vehicle pursuit that turned into a skate-off.
According to the NY Post, the incident happened last month. The suspect, Pedro Villalobos, stole a truck and tried to get away from police around 6 a.m. in February. After a couple of minutes, Villalobos lost control of the truck and spun out. The pursuing officers quickly surrounded him and told him to get out with his hands raised.
It appeared he was listening to the commands until he dropped a skateboard and proceeded to try to wheel away.
Another cruise sped ahead of Villalobs and cut him office, allowing the officers on foot to tackle him to the ground and arrest him.
He now faces multiple charges.
