Two Rio Vista Police officers are now being investigated after an arrest turned into a viral video.

According to KCRA, officers pulled over a vehicle with four people inside it because it had a suspended registration.

One of the passengers then called his family members and Cherish Thomas and Deshaunna Payne came to the scene.

They then began obstructing the officers during their investigation and were recording with their cell phones.

At one point the officers began detaining Thomas in order to complete the investigation.

It was then that she resisted, compelling the officer had to use force and arrest her for resisting.

Rio Vista police say it is now launching an excessive force investigation into the officers.

The family has maintained they presented the registration paperwork, and that the officers refused to look it over.
