An inmate thought he saw an opportunity to escape. Instead, he found a way to go viral for his failed attempt to jump out of a police cruiser.
According to ABC7, the inmate was being transported from one facility to another when he decided to kick the rear window out with his feet and try to escape.
The following vehicle captured the incident on his dashcam video.
You can see the inmate try to crawl out the window, but a second Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy simply stepped out of the passenger side door and immediately pull him back in.
It didn’t help the inmate that his hands were cuffed.
The vehicle was traveling along Highway 5 in California. The Sheriff’s Department did not detail why the inmate was being transported or what charges he was found guilty on.
