A 12-year old Texas boy is facing a slew of criminal charges after he led police on a drunken car chase before crashing early Monday morning.
The incident initiated after an officer tried to stop the trashed tween after nearly striking a cyclist. According to police, he hit a pickup truck but refused to stop and render aid. While no one was hurt in that particular crash, the youth did not stop.
Eventually, the drunken child slammed into a pole and flipped over at around 7:43 in the morning, and was taken to a children’s hospital for minor injuries. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
According to KHOU, the young man faces charges including driving while intoxicated, evading arrest and failure to stop and render aid.
