Mt. Pleasant Police took a man, cited for drinking, back to the department because he didn’t have anywhere to go and was dressed in jeans and a tank top in freezing temperatures, according to WNEM.
Dominic Cardes of Williamston wasn’t grateful the police helped him escape the cold though and chose to trash the place while he was there.
Cardes destroyed a candy machine, a 911 phone and a public phone, a speaker and threw various pieces of furniture in an attempt to trash the station. The estimated cost of the damage is around $500.
Cardes is currently out on bond.
