During the arrest of a underaged man suspected of drunken driving, another underage drunk driver slammed into three vehicles on the side of the road.
That second driver behind the wheel of an SUV sideswiped two patrol cars and a Ford Mustang while the Mustang’s driver was being arrested.
This all happened in Macomb County in eastern Michigan. At about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, a 20-year-old Sterling Heights man was stopped on the suspicion of drunken driving, according to clickondetroit.com.
The second driver was also 20-years-old. Both registered a .17 percent blood alcohol content on a breathalyzer test.
Both were arrested and taken to the Macomb County Jail and charged with driving under the influence.
Video of the incident shows the second vehicle slamming into the Ford Mustang on the side of the road.
The Sheriff’s Office said the SUV driver first sideswiped two Sheriff’s vehicles. The SUV came to rest in a ditch along southbound Romeo Plank Road, local 4 reported.
Thankfully no one was hurt, but the two patrol cars that were struck had to be taken out-of-service.
