Roughly 100 people gathered in the streets of Brooklyn after thousands marched across the Bay Bridge in solidarity with the Palestinian people, and were met by a couple of dozen NYPD officers ordered to clear the streets.

According to CBS NY, those leftover protesters clashed with police as they refused to stop blocking the road. NYPD eventually arrested a couple of dozen protesters. Most of the arrests turned violent as protesters refused to submit peacefully.

The protesters demanded a free Palestine and for the current conflict between Israel and Hamas to end.

Police have not released a list of charges or given an exact number of arrests from the Saturday night protest.
