In light of the hurricane that has been casting a less than ideal cloud of dread over Florida, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office lightened the mood on social media with a humorous -albeit self-effacing- post over the weekend.

Accruing over 7,000 likes and a thousand shares, the office drew a lot of laughs from locals after posting a photo of one of their cruisers outside of a Dunkin’ Donuts.

“JSO Officer Crnolic made sure that the Dunkin’ Donuts located at Beach Boulevard and Hodges Boulevard was secure,” the office’s post said. “We confirmed, no donuts went missing.”

According to WSTP, residents lit up over the post, saying it was just what they needed.

“So funny and needed right now,” one person posted. “Wonderful to see so many of JSO’s finest have a sense of humor and are willing to poke fun at themselves.”

“Nice to see that you all still have your humor intact after the stress of the last few days,” another person wrote. “JSO rocks!”

JSO responded with “We have to. Stay safe.”
