A South Carolina mother says a Chesterfield County Sheriff’s deputy could have killed her daughter when he tased her during a high school fight.

The mother spoke with WSOC-TV about the incident, which took place on Wednesday at Cheraw High School.

The fight between the two girls was captured on cell phone video.

The mother says her daughter has a heart murmur and the electric shock from the taser could have killed her.

The school district said this was one of two fights that happened during lunch.

The sheriff says the 10-year veteran, who was alone at the time of the fight, used the taser to break up the two girls and get control of the situation.

The teenage girl has been suspended from school.
