New body cam video shows a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy telling a 61-year-old man to slap him in the face and then returns that slap with one of his own.
According to KTRK, the District Attorney’s Office is looking into the incident and determining if charges should be placed against the deputy.
The incident happened in September 2018 outside an IHOP.
The deputies were called because of a disturbance.
The deputy in the body cam tells the man to go ahead and slap him and to “get it off” his chest.
Once the man lightly slaps him, the deputy lays a slap of his own, knocking the man down.
The man is then arrested, but the next day those charges were dismissed.
