Delaware’s medical board is now looking into allegations that a doctor prescribed opioids to a female addict who traded in sexual favors for the pills.

According to Time, the Deputy Attorney stated Dr. Nighar Gala’s actions while working at several walk-in medical centers in 2017 endangered the patient’s life. That patient was apparently undergoing treatment for long-term drug addiction.

Right now the state’s medical board is reviewing the case and may pull Gala’s license.

Gala is accused of writing prescriptions despite never requesting or reviewing her medical records.

He currently works for a pain management and addiction clinic in the state.

His lawyer denies all allegations.
