A fatal ending to a love affair.

On Saturday morning, Birmingham police say they found a woman dead inside an unmarked police car, a police detective is now behind bars, and a second police detective has lost a lover.

According to WIAT, police identified the deceased victim as Kanisha Fuller. She was found inside an unmarked police car with bullet wounds Friday evening. She died the next morning from those injuries.

Alfreda Fluker, a 15-year member of the Birmingham Police Department, has been arrested for killing Fuller. It’s believed Fluker was in a relationship with Fuller and shot her after finding out she was also having a relationship with another, male, police detective.

The second detective was also inside the unmarked car with Fuller during the shooting but escaped unharmed.

The police chief described the love triangle as something that had been going on for a while, though the department was unaware.

He also described the shooting as domestic in nature.

Fluker faces murder and other charges.
