A prominent woman in a small Oklahoma community was arrested earlier this week after she allegedly engaged in an inappropriate relationship between herself and a high school student while working as a substitute teacher.
According to the NY Post, Emma Hancock is the daughter of the Mayor of Wellston, Oklahoma, and the wife of its Police Chief.
Hancock was a substitute teacher for the local school district and is accused of sending sexually explicit photos and videos and engaging in two different inappropriate touching incidents with a teenage student.
Hancock was arrested Thursday and formally charged.
The relationship apparently started in October 2022 and the abuse was reported the following month.
It’s alleged that the two kissed in a classroom and Hancock groped the boy on at least one occasion.
Because of the conflict of interest, Oklahoma State Police are leading the investigation.
Hancock has since been banned from all school campuses.
Wellston is a small town located roughly 37 miles northeast of Oklahoma City.
