Irony has a new name: Texas.
Connecticut State Police say one of their search-and-rescue dogs, a bloodhound named K9 Texas, vanished last night while looking for a missing man on Wooster Mountain in Danbury, Conn.

The man was rescued, but Texas wandered off when his trooper handler lost his footing on steep terrain and dropped the dog’s 15-foot leash.
Texas is described as a non-aggressive brown bloodhound. He was wearing a green tracking vest.
Anyone with information on Texas’ whereabouts is urged to call Connecticut Troop A at 203-267-2200.
