A Gang of South African thieves near the town of Mbombela used an Improvised Explosive Device to blow up an armored truck, stealing the contents inside.
The entire scene -caught on the phone camera of a very cool and collected citizen- unfolded as the occupants of three luxury cars opened fire on the vehicle before blasting it with an IED.
Forcing the guards out and disarming them, the thieves took off with the money stored inside.
One of the guards was injured in the event, according to the Daily Mail. The individual filming the explosive heist notified police.
Once a relatively stable country with a strong economy, South Africa has seen a downturn since the early to mid-1990s. In modern times, police are often overwhelmed by both the sheer numbers of violent crimes and the ferocity of the offenders.
