Two Ohio men were caught trying to get away with a stolen fish tank- while riding a motorcycle.
The robbery took place on Monday, when a Niles PetSmart was robbed of a sizeable fish aquarium shortly before noon.
An officer responding to the call noticed a peculiar sight: two grown men on a sport bike, sandwiching an aquarium.
Surprised, the lawman took chase and broke contact to detain the passenger, who jumped off. A second officer attempted to pursue the operator of the bike, but eventually lost track of it.
According to News 5 Cleveland, the motorcycle was later found abandoned. Upon searching the area, police saw a nervous looking man behind a home, pruning a small tree with his bare hands. When asked what he was doing, he said he was doing yard work.
Officers didn’t buy the explanation and the officer who originally spotted the pair on the motorcycle was able to identify him as the suspect.
Motorcycle operator Christopher M. Binion, 46, as charged with theft offenses, along with multiple traffic charges including fleeing and eluding. His passenger, 52-year-old Mitchell Adkins, was charged with theft.
