CPD officer under investigation after woman who was attacking security guard goes into seizure

An investigation into the actions of a Chicago police officer is under way after the officer allegedly knocked a woman to the ground during Pride festivities in Boystown.

In another case of the “court of public opinion” being riled up on social media, a Facebook video shows the officer attempting to break up a serious bar fight.

During the melee, a woman began punching a security guard but was thrown to the ground by the officer, the impact allegedly sending her into a seizure.

According to ABC7, the incident was passed down by the Chicago police to the Civilian Office of Police Accountability on Monday and is currently under review.
