A massive drug bust in Southern California has resulted in the arrest of a man and a woman and nearly 46 pounds of drugs being removed from the streets.

According to the NY Post, Andres Morales and Christine Ponce, who are believed to be a couple, had 21 kilograms of a powerful drug called carfentanil. It’s a drug so powerful that it’s measured in nanograms and is 100 times more powerful than fentanyl.

It’s believed the total amount of drugs could have potentially killed 50 million people.

It’s believed to be the largest drug bust of carfentanil in Riverside County history.

In a separate raid where they were able to arrest Morales and Ponce, police found they had an additional 35 pounds of cocaine.

Both are being held without bail.
