Cosplayer with 1.6 million followers on TikTok out on bond after fatally shooting friend

A TikTok cosplayer is facing manslaughter charges and scrutiny after negligent use of a firearm resulted in the death of another.

Mary Anne Oliver-Snow, from Houston, Texas, is better known as “yandere.freak” and “snowthesaltqueen” on TikTok.

Earlier this year, Oliver-Snow “recklessly caused the death of Helen Rose Hastings by pointing a handgun at the complainant and pulling the trigger.”

According to Dexerto, Oliver-Snow was intoxicated at the time.

Oliver-Snow mistakenly believed the firearm was unloaded due to the lack of a magazine, but failed to clear the chamber.
