An Ole Miss softball coach has been suspended from the team after a Title XVI investigation was opened up into her interactions with an athlete on the team.
Coach Katie Browder apparently began having an affair with a senior player, who was also having a sexual relationship with one of her teammates. That scorned lover then posted text messages between Coach Browder and her girlfriend on the head coach’s computer screen.
According to the NY Post, Head Coach Jamie Trachsel is accused of covering up the affair by offering players money in exchange for silence.
Ole Miss has denied the allegations, though admit there is an investigation ongoing into the allegations.
Both players say they’re coming back, though their identities have not been released.
