CNN is getting a lot of blowback for featuring an ANTIFA group whose member attempted to firebomb an ICE center outside of Seattle over the weekend.

Willem Van Spronsen sent his friends a manifesto the day before he strapped an incendiary device to his body and ran at the center with a rifle across his chest.

ICE agents shot and killed Van Spronsen before he could reach the center.

He was one of more than 100 protestors outside the facility on Sunday.

According to the Seattle Times, Van Spronsen choked an officer during last year’s protest. In court documents, he claimed he was trying to free a fellow protestor who was being illegally arrested. Van Spronsen eventually pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Fox News pointed out that Van Spronsen was part of the Puget Sound chapter of the John Brown Gun Club that was featured on a May 5th episode of “United Shades of America.”

The show, now in its fourth season, is hosted by comedian and political commentator W. Kamau Bell.

In the episode, Bell talks about the “Redneck Revolt,” which he described as gun-toting liberals who want to fight the “alt-right.”

Bell describes the group in a positive manner.

The promo for that episode featured a wide-shot of the group, with Van Spronsen showing his face from the back of the crowd.

CNN has not released a statement about the episode or its connection to the man who attempted to commit violence against the officer.
