A Monday traffic stop in Ohio’s Butler County following a months-long investigation has turned up nearly 600 lbs of marijuana, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Richard Jones said that the vehicle that was stopped was a semi, with about 400 lbs of marijuana well-hidden within the walls of the vehicle.
In total, eight people -including a Cincinnati police dispatch supervisor- were arrested in connection to the bust.
The dispatcher -Teneal Poole- had over 200 lbs of marijuana in her home. Poole had worked with CPD for over 13 years.
The traffickers -Jose Antonia Santiago-Razo, 32, Brandon Guijosa, 19, Miguel Alberto Trillo, 38, and Oscar Paz-Diaz, 20- were each charged with possession and trafficking of drugs.
Poole and boyfriend Damian Gray were charged on the same counts and handguns were seized from the home. Poole said the drugs were not hers but knew about their presence. She is not a sworn officer but
