Once again, it seems, Chick-Fil-A is going out of their way to do the right thing.
Texas Chick-Fil-As are stepping up in the aftermath of a police officer’s duty-related death, donating all of today’s proceeds to the grieving family.
A 19-year-veteran of the San Marcos Police Department, Officer Kenneth Copeland was killed on December 4 as he served a warrant on his day off.
Declaring December 28 “Ken Copeland Day,” Chick-Fil-A announced that franchises in San Marcos, Kyle and New Braunfels will donate Thursday’s proceeds to Copeland’s family.
According to KXAN, Copeland was sent off properly, with hundreds attending his funeral procession and service in San Antonio.
He leaves behind a loving wife and four children.
